Getting to the venue

All flights to Athens land at the Athens International Airport. You can take the bus (X95, see https://www.oasa.gr/en/visit-athens/airport-express-bus-lines/) or Metro (Line 3, see https://www.oasa.gr/en/visit-athens/metro-line-3-to-airport/) to reach the city center; from there, the fastest, safest, and easiest way to move around Athens is the Metro.

The closest Metro station to the conference venue is Syngrou-Fix (Red Line/Line 2) in walking distance from the venue. A number of Bus lines arrive at the University: 040, Α2, Β2, Ε22, Ε90, 106, 126, 136, 137, 550 and Trolley Bus no. 10. Tickets (called Ath.ena tickets) for public transport are sold at ticket booths and machines in all Athens Metro and tram stations and the Airport. There are three types of Ath.ena tickets: a paper ticket, an anonymous card that you can top up, and a personalised card. These tickets can be used on all forms of public transport.

A standard ticket on Athens public transport costs €1.20 (except services to/from the airport). Each ticket can be used for 90 minutes on any form of public transport (again, excluding services to/from the airport). More information on public and private transport in Athens can be found here: https://www.thisisathens.org/getting-around/public-transportation-metro-bus-tram
